Safety and Problem solving

“My horse struggles to lunge, pick up her feet, has separation anxiety, bucks, rears, runs me over, and just doesn't seem to be enjoying herself."

We hear these whoas a lot (pun intended)! This class is for folks who have ANY challenges with their horse. It is an amazing space for folks to practice their work on horsemanship and boundaries, as well as getting to the bottom of the "vices" many folks experience and fear with their horses.

Students learn how to diagnose, troubleshoot, and work towards better communication and trust with their horses in Problem Solving class.

RIDING PREP, CONDITIONING AND REHAB

Despite popular opinion, horses are not born weight-lifting athletes.

They need mental, physical and emotional support in order to learn to carry us on their backs in a way that will enhance - not penalize - their health and longevity. And on a more short term level, their joy and sense of self-efficacy when engaging in this activity.

Just as well, joy and a sense of self-efficacy should be the ever-present elements to a rehab journey towards fulfillment from trauma, unsoundness or injuries.

This is exactly what we do in this class! We give you science-based tools to transform your horse into a badass weight-lifting athlete, and/or support them on their rehab journey towards fulfillment...co-creationally!

Artful dressage

UGGHHH...Dressage 🙄 What if that could be changed to...AHHHH...Dressage?!!! 😍

Most folks dream of the latter but have experienced the former. This class is for folks who have dreamed of doing dressage as it is portrayed in movies, magazines and Instagram, but want the journey of developing a dressage horse to also be artistic and beautiful.

This class focuses on rider position & biomechanics while combining principles of natural horsemanship and classical dressage. Whether your goal is to do dressage movements without a bridle or to just have a peaceful ride where your horse enjoys dancing with you, this class aims to get you there!

Consensual Riding

Can you imagine that your horse has as much fun being ridden as you do riding? This class is focused on developing a joyful partnership with a horse where the horse's voice truly matters.

Riders work with the principles of Intrinzen to offer horse a sense of autonomy and healthy movement, gain the tools of horsemanship so they can keep themselves and their horse safe.

At the end of the day, we are practical horsewomen and believe that consent goes two ways. This class balances the horse's voice and the rider's needs which develops a co-creational system of communication where both horse and human are heard in the relationship.

Sunday Funday!

Artful riding has many layers. Other classes focus on consent, and co-creation. This class is focus on PRECISION. Precision based classes develop skill, timing, and clarity as your horse's leader-friend. In partnership with consent classes, precision can build a trust, bond, and relaxation in horses and humans that elevates folks to another level of understand. We try to do this in a way where horses and humans still have FUN!

This class rotates between Quadrille (drill team), Working Equitation, Trail Readiness, Dressage Tests, and more!

This is for Intermediate and Advanced Horse Owners only. Horses may be available to borrow. Please contact Elizabeth or Giorgia if your are unsure whether you qualify for this class.

Offsite Trailrides

Once folks can successfully trailer load their horse, and feel confident enough to ride or handle their horse offsite, we welcome them on our supported trail rides!

We trailer up to 8 participants to a trailhead in Boulder county, CO and focus on trouble-shooting riding challenges, as well as just having a relaxed ride amongst friends.

This service is offered to boarders at Wildsong Ranch as well as folks with their own trailers who can haul their own horse to the ranch or a trailhead.

Liberty and Trick Training

Have you ever dreamed of running around with your horse and your horse running to you in a wide open field full of grass when you call? We have! That is why we have devoted a whole class to the different ways of cultivating a liberty partnership with horses.

Whether you are still contemplating removing the halter or ready to create a show-stopping routine for the next talent show, this class will set you up for success to have your dream relationship with your horse in connection, freedom, and joy with your horse!

Trailer Loading

Picture the following cringe-worthy moment...6 grown men pulling ropes on four sides of a horse to drag, pull, force, manhandle a horse into a trailer that HAS to evacuate the ranch for an emergency.

Many folks don't think about trailer loading their horse until they REALLY have to go somewhere in a hurry. This often causes significant trauma in horses and humans.

Our trailer loading playground gives folks the tools to load their horse successfully in an emergency AND tools to take plenty of time should you have the luxury of slowing down.

TESTIMONIALS

"Before Hatha Equus, I felt anxious most of the time, lacked self-confidence and was constantly afraid I’d break an unknown barn rule. I questioned everything I was doing with and for my OTTB Em and felt stressed by the environment.

As I moved Em to Wildsong Ranch, for Hatha Equus' Training Track Program, I immediately felt an amazing aura of peace and calm, which allowed me to breathe, relax and enjoy my journey with Em. The community is so supportive and kind I always feel a sense of joy and comfort"

“Many times I’ve been in the land of uncertainty, overwhelm, discouragement and frustration in my abilities. Showing up for classes, asking questions and having Elizabeth and Giorgia demonstrate with my horse (or other horses) has been key for me. Being able to practice while they observe, then giving their feedback has been monumental. By laying a foundation, I feel much more comfortable, trust in the process, confident and content. Not only in myself, but I feel and see it in my horse! She’s growing in being at ease in her body, exploring novel movements, solving new things, self-assured, calmer and curious.”

“If you want deep relevant connection for yourself and your horse, then train with Hatha Equus. These three talented women really know horses and humans and can bring out the best in both.

I first was drawn to Hatha Equus training program when traditional training did not fit me and my horse friend. I had dabbled in R+ and found it to be lots of fun. R+was the hook. Never did I guess that was just the tip of what Hatha Equus offers. Safety, Riding, Tailer loading, Dressage, Intrinzen, Consent, and problem solving are just some of the other offerings. I sincerely believe they can help anyone with any training needs and and you will feel so very connected.”
