WHERE YOUR "YES! GLADLY!" STARTS

When we work with horses in any exercise or task, we want to start by asking the horse questions like "How would you feel about weight lifting today?" or "Would it be ok to ride you?" The Panther Walk has come to be an uber fun foundational exercise, for any horse we train, that opens them up to saying "Heck Yeah! Yes I can, and Yes I will!"

You wanted to PLAY, but you thought it wouldn't get you anywhere...

Before I started "adulting" I was just a goofy kid spending much of my time with horses in the pastures just playing and asking them "What feels fun? What ideas do you have? How can I make being with me an AWESOME deal for you?!"

As I became more "professional," I was told that prioritizing play wasn't valuable to get to my goals. I rebelled a bit against that mindset and learned, on my own, that play was really important to build trust and communication with horses. Then I studied science more closely and discovered that the newest research says that play is actually the BEST way to achieve ideal movement results with our horses.

So I have come full-circle. Structured play is by far the most valuable tool at our disposal with horses. So get back to that kid in you, and let us show you how to play.

Empower your horse to feel like a superhero!

You would literally give up anything to know that your horse is happy. Actually happy. You've invested so much money, time and energy, but it's starting to look like that very expensive sparkly bridle you just bought might not be it. That premium stall space with a view might not be enough. All those trophies you keep winning...what does she actually care about those?

It sounds like you might want to explore a different type of relationship with your horse. This is precisely what we can help with.

Let's start from something simple and fun. By clicking on the button → you will have a first peak into a dream-like mutually empowering play that you only thought existed in movies...with actual action steps you can take today! Like, right now!

Your horse is not broken, or untrainable. And neither are you.

I've always been drawn to the "returned to the seller" horses, to the "better off sending them to auction" horses, to the horses, in other words, who dangerously express their pain, confusion and anger, and who are misunderstood as disrespectful, untrainable, hopeless, untalented. With no future.

Most of these horses challenged everything I knew (first and foremost my mustang Sombra, in the photo). It's not easy to constantly sit in the learner's seat, despite all of the time, energy and resources poured into this very thing you love so much. It's also not easy to follow your intuition and keep believing that there must be another way than force and coercion, and that you're not incapable and incompetent if pressure and release is just not working.

In doing so, I have dived deep in the most cutting edge sciences, niche approaches and unintuitive resources, and I now have a vast repertoire of tools to help YOU find common ground with your horse, and start experiencing a satisfying, kind and fun relationship in which you are each other's North Star!
